Mr. Richard Thomas is an Attorney at law who mainly practices in the civil arena. He appears as advocate Attorney at Law in the High Court and Court of Appeal in Trinidad and Tobago. He also practices criminal law to a lesser extent where he appears more often as instructing counsel.

Mr. Thomas is a member of Lincolns Inn and an alumnus of Inns of Court School of Law in London, England, where he obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Skills in 2008.

Mr. Thomas obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2006 from the University of London, with 2nd class honours (Lower Division).

In 2008 he was called to the bar of the United Kingdom and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn as a Barrister at Law.

In 2009 Guerra, Elder & Associates called Mr. Thomas to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago as an Attorney at Law, where he has since been practicing. Since then he has represented clients in a wide range of civil matters including land, contract, judicial review, medical negligence and personal injury.
